We had a particularly lovely hotel to spent the night in, tucked away from noise and all the holiday makers and Windermere (once away from the lakeside town where all the holiday makers go) had some nice restaurants and we availed ourselves .... Rillamill, Plushabridge, Tregadillett, Moretonhampstead, Petherwin Hellescott, Quethiock, Buckland Tout, Saints Treskinnick Cross, Trebudannon, Buckfastleigh?? go on, say them out loud to yourself and give your tongue a workout! ...
